Collar Dark Brown Squirrel Dub blended with Semperfli Claret Sparkle Dubbing
How to tie it
Slide the Togens 1/8 Hot Pink Slotted Tungsten bead onto the Togens Jig hook, small end forward, mount it, start the Purple 6/0 thread and dress the shank with a slight taper toward the front.
Pull a few straight Black Pheasant Rump Fibres, measure them to about a shank length, tie them in as the tail and bind the butts all the way up to the head; wrap the thread back over itself to thicken and taper the body.
Tie in the Togens Blue/Black Chirony Skin.
Tie in the Semperfli Purple Micro Glint Tinsel at the rear; it is thin enough to add no lump.
Wrap the Chirony Skin forward to the bead and tie it off.
Spiral the Micro Glint forward as an accent rib over the blue body and tie it off.
Form a dubbing loop, lay the Dark Brown Squirrel Dub blended with Semperfli Claret Sparkle Dubbing across it so the fibers run perpendicular (pull off any excess), spin it tight and brush it out with a wire brush.
Wrap the loop at the front as a collar, sweeping the fibers back so they stand off the shank, and tie off.
Cover the bead slot with thread as you whip finish; a dab of head cement or Solarez is optional.
