Thread White 3/0
Materials
Bead Silver bead (1 saltwater bead at head for weight)
Tail White uni stretch (Super Hair / synthetic, sparse)
Tail Flash Pearl flashabou (Pearl Flashabou over and under the tail)
Body/Back Blue or olive material (Colored marker over epoxy/UV resin)
Body Coat Clear head cement (5-minute epoxy or UV resin, tapered to a bullet)
Eyes Silver/black material (Stick-on, sealed under resin)
How to tie it
Slide the silver bead onto the hook and up to the eye, then start thread behind it. The bead is what makes this the sinking 'Deep' version of the Surf Candy.
Tie in a sparse tail of white Super Hair about a shank-and-a-half long, with pearl Flashabou over and under.
Bind the butts down along the shank to build a smooth, slightly tapered underbody, then whip finish.
Coat the shank and butt ends with epoxy or UV resin, shaping a translucent baitfish body that tapers back to a bullet at the bead.
Before it fully cures, color the top of the back blue (or olive) with a waterproof marker to give a baitfish spine.
Set stick-on eyes at the head and lock everything under a final thin overcoat of resin, keeping the finish smooth and slim.
