  • Hook Wet fly / nymph, #12-14
  • Thread Brown 8/0

Materials

  • Body March brown (Hare's ear dubbing)
  • Rib Gold middle (Fine wire)
  • Hackle Brown hackle (Partridge)
  • Thorax March brown (Dubbing)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and wrap to above the barb.
  2. Dub a march-brown body up the rear two-thirds of the shank.
  3. Rib the body with fine gold wire and tie off.
  4. Dub a slightly heavier thorax.
  5. Tie in and wind a sparse partridge soft-hackle collar.
  6. Whip finish behind the eye.
