- Hook Streamer/salmon, 2X-3X long, 2-6
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Marabou Black marabou (tail)
- Chenille Black chenille (body)
- Saddle hackle Black saddle hackle (palmered)
- Chenille (egg head) Fluorescent orange/pink chenille (short head section)
How to tie it
- Start thread and lay a base to the bend.
- Tie in a black marabou tail about one and a half hook lengths long.
- Tie in black chenille and a black saddle hackle at the bend.
- Wrap the chenille forward to about one eye-width behind the eye to form the leech body.
- Palmer the hackle forward over the body and tie off.
- Tie in the fluorescent orange/pink chenille and build a short round egg-head just behind the eye.
- Whip finish and cement.
