3D eyes (Deer Creek Roachie) Green hair (1 pair, 10 mm)
How to tie it
Start the thread near the bend and tie in a black Big Fly Fibre tail, keeping it long and tapered and adding Moonlight Magnum Flashabou plus a hint of chartreuse glow flash.
Build the body forward in layers of dun bucktail (belly and back), reverse-tying and folding back to control flare, with opal Flashabou along the sides.
Add a strand of lateral scale down each side for a lateral line, and tie a grizzly saddle low on each side for a wide profile.
Wrap the lime Pike Skinz brush as a collar to widen and brighten the profile and exaggerate the jerk action.
Tie in black Nayat over the top as a flowing wing to darken the back and add movement.
Dub or spin a black wool-roving/Angelina head to cover the wraps and build a broad head.
Whip finish, glue a 10 mm green 3D eye to each side, and finish the head with UV epoxy or Liquid Fusion.
