- Hook Long-shank lure/streamer hook, 8-10
- Thread Olive 6/0
Materials
- Tail Olive ostrich herl (Marabou plume)
- Flash Pearl or green flash (Few strands Krystal Flash)
- Body Olive ostrich herl (Fritz or chenille)
- Rib Silver metal tape (Fine oval tinsel, optional)
- Hackle Olive hen (One feather, optional collar)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start olive thread at the bend.
- Tie in an olive marabou tail about one shank length long and add a few strands of flash over it.
- Bind in the fritz or chenille at the tail base.
- Wind the body material forward in touching turns to just behind the eye and tie off.
- If adding a collar, wind two turns of olive hen hackle and sweep the fibers back.
- Build a neat thread head, whip finish and snip.
- Wet the marabou and stroke it back so the tail tapers and pulses on the retrieve.
