  • Hook Ahrex TP610 trout-predator streamer (short shank), 6
  • Thread White/clear 6/0

Materials

  • Tail Natural case (2 Whiting Chickabou feathers)
  • Flash Opalescent pearl (few strands polar flash)
  • Eyes Pearl anti static bag strip (3/16 in. stick-on)
  • Body / coating Olive top / hot pink throat / clear (UV resin)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and wrap back to the bend.
  2. Tie in two Whiting Chickabou feathers for the tail, a bit longer than the shank; wrap forward under them and trim the butts.
  3. Tie in a few strands of opalescent polar flash along the top, extending back to the tail; wrap forward smoothing the body.
  4. Trim and cover the butts, then whip finish the thread.
  5. Touch a drop of super glue at the head and press a 3/16 in. pearl stick-on eye onto each side; let set.
  6. Run olive UV resin along the top over the flash and cure; add hot-pink UV resin on the underside/throat and cure.
  7. Build up the body with clear thick UV resin, rotating the fly to form an even minnow taper; cure.
