Crystal Caddis-Beadhead

Reference Recipe

• Hook Curved scud / caddis, 12-16
• Thread Tan 8/0

Materials

• Bead Gold bead (Tungsten or brass, sized to hook)
• Body Caddis green (Crystal/Ice Dub or Antron, translucent)
• Rib Gold middle (Fine wire)
• Thorax Brown permanent marker (Hare's ear dubbing)

How to tie it

1. Slide the gold bead to the eye, mount the hook, and tie in the gold wire rib at the bend.
2. Dub a translucent green crystal body forward to just behind the bead. Keep it slim and glowing.
3. Counter-wrap the wire rib in 5 evenly spaced turns and tie off.
4. Dub a short, buggy brown thorax collar behind the bead.
5. Whip finish behind the bead.
