Start the red thread and lay a base along the shank.
Take 20-30 strands of olive pearl Krystal Flash, measure them the length of the hook, and tie them in near the eye, letting the strands roll evenly all the way around the shank.
Bind the flash butts rearward along the shank, building a slight underbody, and trim the excess.
Tie in pink crystal chenille at the back of the hook and bring the thread forward.
Wrap the chenille forward in touching turns, keeping the body fairly thin, all the way to the eye and tie off.
Bring the thread back about an eighth of an inch from the eye, then pull all the Krystal Flash back over the body, distributing it evenly around the full circumference of the hook.
Bind the flash down at that point to form a bullet-shaped head of red thread, whip finish, and cement.
