Body Black chenille or dubbing (Viva body) (as needed)
Tail Fluorescent green/chartreuse marabou or Glo-Brite (Viva tag) (small tuft)
Egg/wing Buoyant foam or Booby-style foam ball ('Foobie'), egg-coloured (1)
Hot spot Fluorescent thread collar (few turns)
How to tie it
Start thread and tie in a short fluorescent green Viva-style tail tuft at the bend.
Dub or wrap a black chenille body forward over the rear two-thirds of the shank.
Tie in a small buoyant foam ball ('Foobie' egg) at the front so it sits proud and pushes water. The buoyancy is what makes fish commit when they won't hit bigger patterns.
Add a bright fluorescent hot-spot collar of thread behind the foam.
Whip finish behind the foam and add a touch of varnish to the thread wraps.
