How to tie it
Slide the gold tungsten drop bead onto the hook and seat it at the eye; Croston's drop-bead method fixes it to invert the hook and load weight forward.
Start the fluorescent pink thread behind the bead and lay a thin base along the shank to the bend.
Tie in a single strand of suede chenille at the rear, leaving a short stub past the bend for a soft tail tip.
Wrap the thread forward to just behind the bead in touching turns to make a smooth underbody.
Spiral the chenille forward in even touching turns to build a plump, uniform worm body, then tie off behind the bead.
Build a few turns of fluorescent pink thread as a hot-spot collar right behind the bead, whip finish, and add a drop of varnish.
