Reference Recipe
- Hook 3XL streamer or jig hook, 8-12
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Bead Gold bead (Tungsten or brass (optional))
- Tail Olive/black material (Marabou, one to two shank lengths)
- Flash Pearl flashabou (Few strands Krystal Flash)
- Body Olive/black material (Marabou or leech dubbing)
- Collar Olive/black material (Soft hackle or palmered marabou)
How to tie it
- Slide the bead to the eye and mount the hook.
- At the bend tie in a marabou tail one to two shank lengths long for a long, undulating profile, plus a few strands of flash.
- Wrap or dub a slim marabou body forward to just behind the bead. Keep it sparse so it breathes.
- Wrap a soft marabou or hen collar behind the bead and sweep the fibers back.
- Whip finish behind the bead.
