How to tie it
Tie dumbbell or bead-chain eyes near the bend on the hook-point side so the finished crayfish rides hook-up (the bend becomes the 'nose').
At what will be the tail end (near the eye of the hook), tie in antennae and three Sili Legs per side, then wrap a ball of dubbing behind them so the legs splay out like crayfish mouthparts and claws.
Form a two-shank-long dubbing loop, load it with brown/olive dubbing, and spin it tight.
Wrap the dubbing loop forward in touching turns toward the bend, stroking the fibers back, to build a shaggy body/tail.
Tie a bunch of deer hair or a mottled hen feather over the back as a carapace and tie off at the bend behind the eyes.
Whip finish, then trim the body to a flattened crayfish shape.
