Wing White or tan calf tail (sparse) (small bunch)
Wing flash Pearl Krystal Flash (2-4 strands)
How to tie it
Start thread and tie small silver bead-chain eyes on top of the shank about one eye-length back from the hook eye; mounted on top, they flip the fly to ride hook-point up over sand.
Wrap the thread to the bend and tie in a bunch of pearl Krystal Flash for the underbody, plus a strand of clear D-rib.
Wrap the Krystal Flash forward to build a flashy body, cross behind and in front of the eyes, and tie off.
Wrap the clear D-rib forward over the flash in evenly spaced turns for a ribbed, translucent shell, working around the eyes, and tie off at the head.
Tie in a sparse calf-tail wing behind the eye so it sweeps back over the point (riding up. It hides the point in weed and sand), and add a couple strands of pearl flash.
Build a neat thread head, whip finish, and add a drop of head cement.
