How to tie it
Mount the hook and lash the lead eyes on top near the eye so the fly inverts and rides claws-up.
At the bend, add a few wraps of mono along the rear of the shank. This bit of weight at the tail makes the fly settle in a defensive claws-up attack posture on the bottom.
Tie in 5-6 folded rubber legs as antennae and two splayed exo-skin claws facing rearward.
Tie in the red wire rib.
Dub a shaggy blaze-orange body forward, figure-8 around the eyes, and stop behind the hook eye.
Counter-wrap the wire rib in 5-6 turns and tie off.
Whip finish, pick out the dubbing for legs, and set the tail wraps with a drop of UV resin.
