Wing Coyote fur over black bucktail over white bucktail
How to tie it
Pinch the barb on the 4XL streamer hook, mount it, and start the Black 140 thread up front.
Catch in the Silver tinsel, bind it back to the rear, then wrap it forward in touching turns to about two eye-lengths behind the eye and tie off; a little black showing through does not matter.
Take a medium tuft of white bucktail, unstacked on purpose for a shaggy look, and tie it in long on top with a couple of loose wraps, then spin it around the shank so fibers come off top, bottom and sides. Trim the butts close.
Take a small tuft of black bucktail and tie it in on top: cord the thread clockwise and go straight into tight wraps so it stays on top instead of spinning. A couple more tight wraps forward, then snip the butts.
Pull some, but not all, of the crinkly underfur from a clump of Coyote fur and tie it in on top as the wing with tight wraps. Snip the fuzz up front and lick your fingers to mat the butts before building the head.
Wrap a big streamer head, whip finish, and add head cement for a hard, shiny head.
