Flashback Pearl Mylar/tinsel over the back (1 strip)
Wing Black marabou (slim) (small bunch)
How to tie it
Start black thread at the eye and run it to the bend, tying in a length of fine silver wire and a strip of pearl Mylar for the flashback.
Tie in a stripped quill at the bend and wrap it forward in touching turns to build a slim, segmented body up to about the 70% point.
Counter-wrap the silver wire forward in 4-5 evenly spaced turns to rib and protect the fragile quill, then tie off.
Pull the pearl Mylar forward over the top of the body as a flashback and tie it down at the front; the flash on the back is the extra trigger over a plain cormorant.
Tie in a slim black marabou wing about one and a half shank lengths long, keeping it sparse so it pulses.
Build a small neat head, whip finish, and varnish.
