Reference Recipe
- Hook 3XL streamer hook, 4-10
- Thread Black 140 denier
Materials
- Cone Gold conehead (1, sized to hook)
- Tail Olive marabou (one plume)
- Flash Pearl/olive Krystal Flash (8 strands)
- Body Olive crystal chenille (one strand)
- Hackle Grizzly saddle (1 feather)
- Legs Barred olive rubber legs (2-3 pairs)
How to tie it
- Slide the gold cone to the eye and mount the hook. Start thread behind the cone and run it to the bend.
- Tie in an olive marabou tail one shank length long, with several strands of crystal flash to each side.
- Bind in the grizzly hackle by the tip and the crystal chenille at the bend.
- Wrap the crystal chenille forward to just behind the cone and tie off.
- Palmer the hackle forward over the body in 5-6 evenly spaced turns, then tie off behind the cone.
- Add two or three pairs of barred rubber legs splayed along the sides.
- Build a thread collar behind the cone, whip finish, and cement.
