Tyer Recipe

  • Hook Streamer, 3XL, 4-8
  • Thread Pink 6/0

Materials

  • Marabou Pink or purple marabou (1 plume for tail)
  • Crystal flash Pearl flashabou (few strands)
  • Chenille Pink or purple chenille (body)
  • Saddle hackle Purple saddle hackle (1 for palmer)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread at the eye and wrap back to the hook bend.
  2. Tie in a marabou plume for the tail, about one shank length long, and add a few strands of flash along each side.
  3. Tie in the saddle hackle by the tip and the chenille at the bend.
  4. Wrap the chenille forward to just behind the eye and tie off.
  5. Palmer the hackle forward over the chenille body in evenly spaced turns, tie off behind the eye.
  6. Build a neat head and whip finish.
