How to tie it
Mount the hook and start the thread near the eye.
Lay one end of the foam cylinder on top of the shank at the eye and bind it, then spiral the thread back to the hook point.
Fold the foam back over itself and bind at the point to form the rear gaster, leaving the tag extending just past the bend, nearly twice the length of the front hump.
Bring the thread forward to the waist and tie in a short white poly wing, splitting the two foam segments.
Tie in a brown hackle at the waist and take 2-3 turns for legs, then bind off.
Whip finish behind the eye and trim the hackle flat underneath so the ant sits low in the film.
