Classic Recipe

  • Hook 2x long dry, 8-14

Materials

  • Tail Pearl flashabou (clump)
  • Body Tan Ice Dub (full)
  • Foam Tan 2mm foam strip (over body)
  • Wings White poly yarn (2 posts)
  • Legs Barred Sili legs (2 per side)

How to tie it

  1. Start tan thread on the 2x long dry hook and lay a base along the shank.
  2. Tie in a clump of pearl Flashabou at the bend as a tail, then dub a full underbody of tan Ice Dub forward along the shank.
  3. Lay a tan 2mm foam strip over the top and bind it down at two points, creating two body segments.
  4. At each tie-down point, tie in a post of white poly yarn standing up. These are your two visible wings.
  5. Add two barred Sili Legs per side at each foam band, splayed out.
  6. Whip finish under the front foam and cement, then trim the wing posts to length.
