  • Hook curved scud/pupa hook, 12-16
  • Thread Black 8/0

Materials

  • Holographic silver tinsel Silver/chrome holographic tinsel (body)
  • Bead Silver or black tungsten bead (1)
  • Antron yarn White poly yarn (small tuft, gills)
  • UV resin Clear uv resin (coating)

How to tie it

  1. Slide the bead to the eye and start the thread behind it.
  2. Wrap thread down to a point above the barb.
  3. Tie in holographic silver tinsel and wrap it forward in touching turns to build a slim, bright body; tie off behind the bead.
  4. Coat the body with clear UV resin and cure for a glassy chrome sheen.
  5. Tie in a small tuft of white antron behind the bead for gills.
  6. Form a small head and whip finish.
