Classic Recipe

• Hook Curved pupa, 10-16
• Thread Black 8/0

Materials

• Bead White bead (1)
• Body Black Superflex or thread (smooth, coated)
• Rib Red wire (spiral)
• Coat UV resin (glossy)

How to tie it

1. Slide the white bead to the eye, mount the curved pupa hook, and start black thread.
2. Wrap a smooth, slim black body (thread or Superflex) the full length of the shank around the bend.
3. Rib the body forward with red wire in 5-7 evenly spaced turns for segmentation and tie off behind the bead.
4. Coat the entire body with UV resin and cure it for a glossy, durable finish.
5. Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
