Reference Recipe
- Hook Curved scud/pupa hook (e.g. TMC 2457), 10-16
- Thread Red 70 denier
Materials
- Bead White bead (One Sno Cone bead)
- Body Red buzzer wrap (Small or medium D-Rib)
- Collar Peacock ice dub (One or two peacock herls)
How to tie it
- Slide the white Sno Cone bead to the eye, mount the hook and start the thread.
- At the bend tie in a length of red D-Rib by its thin end, flat side down.
- Wind the thread forward to just behind the bead, laying a smooth underbody.
- Wrap the D-Rib forward in touching turns for a glassy segmented body and tie off behind the bead.
- Tie in the peacock herl and take 2-3 turns as a collar tight behind the bead, then bind off.
- Whip finish behind the bead and add a drop of cement.
