  • Hook standard bonefish/flats hook, 2-6
  • Thread Tan 140 denier

Materials

  • Bead Tungsten teardrop (one, center mounted)
  • Tail Tan carapace (craft fur with pearl flash)
  • Body Pearl anti static bag strip (diamond braid)
  • Wing Tan over chartreuse (craft fur, sparse)
  • Eyes Silver metal tape (stick-on, one per side)

How to tie it

  1. Mount the hook point-up and set a single tungsten teardrop bead so the fly inverts and drops fast and quiet, without dumbbell splat.
  2. Start thread and tie in a sparse tan craft fur tail with a few pearl flash strands at the bend.
  3. Tie in pearl diamond braid and wrap a smooth minnow body forward over the bead.
  4. Stack a sparse chartreuse then tan craft fur wing on top so it sweeps back over the point, shielding it.
  5. Set a stick-on eye to each side and build a small head.
  6. Whip finish and lock the head and eyes with UV resin.
