On the rear (Daiichi 2461) shank, build a thick Simi Seal dubbing loop in fall colors and wrap forward to form a shaggy tail-body; palmer a chenille hackle through it. Tie in a few strands of flash and a marabou collar at the front of the rear hook.
Cut the rear hook off if desired or leave, then connect the rear section to the front shank with a doubled length of intruder wire threaded through 3D articulation beads.
Secure the wire and beads to the rear of the front (Fulling Mill 36040) shank so the joint is snug but the tail swings freely.
Build another Simi Seal dubbing loop and wrap it up the front shank, palmering a chenille hackle for a shaggy, moving body.
Tie in silicone flutter legs at the sides and a couple of marabou collars in fall shades so they veil the body.
Mount the BallZeyes on top of the shank behind the head with figure-eight wraps.
Finish the head: form a chunky dubbing/velcro-brushed collar around the eyes, whip finish and cement so it pushes water.
Brush and pick the whole fly out so it has a big, breathing, translucent profile.
