Tyer Recipe

  • Hook streamer/nymph hook, 3XL, 8-10
  • Thread Brown 6/0

Materials

  • Marabou Brown marabou (tail)
  • Dubbing Brown dubbing (body)
  • Rib Copper wire (fine)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread at mid-shank and tie in a sparse brown marabou tail about one hook-length long.
  2. Tie in fine copper wire at the tail.
  3. Dub a slim, slightly tapered brown body forward to just behind the eye.
  4. Counter-wrap the copper wire forward as an even rib and tie off.
  5. Build a small head and whip finish.
