- Hook curved pupa/scud hook, #12-16
- Thread Black 8/0
Materials
- Bead Silver or black bead (1)
- Body Black or dark thread
- Rib 1 Red wire
- Rib 2 Silver wire or tinsel
- Breather gills White uni stretch (small tuft)
How to tie it
- Slide bead to the eye; start thread and wrap to a point above the barb.
- Tie in two ribbing materials (e.g. red wire and silver tinsel) at the rear.
- Wrap thread forward in smooth turns to form a thin tapered body.
- Wrap the two ribs forward as evenly spaced parallel ribs; tie off and trim both.
- Tie in a small white antron tuft at the front for breather gills and trim short.
- Whip finish behind the bead.
