Slide the 2.8 mm Fulling Mill Tungsten Bead onto the AquaTalon Chironomid Ambush Hook in the normal orientation, not reversed, and push it back. Start the 70 denier black Ultra Thread right up at the eye.
Gill: a small clump of Ice Wing Fiber Pearl tied in at the eye pointing forward, left long enough to trim later. Wrap back over it, trim the butts at an angle so the thread tapers over them, bind down, then a one- or two-turn whip finish and cut the thread.
Slide the bead forward against the gill wraps. Restart the thread behind the bead and build the body base back to about the barb, then wrap forward.
Rib(s): cut about three inches each of red and black Brassie Ultra Wire. Put the two tips together and push them into the bead slot so the wire covers the whole body without spoiling the taper, then bind both back to the rear together. Return the thread to the front.
Body: bind in the Large Holo Tinsel black just behind the bead where the wire went and wrap back over it to the rear, then return to the front. Build more taper now if the body needs it, leaving a little space at the front for trimming.
Wrap the tinsel forward, capture it behind the bead and trim it out.
Take one full turn of both wires together at the rear, then counter-wrap forward keeping the two wires side by side; push them back together if they separate. Capture at the front and helicopter the wires off.
Trim the gill to length, take a three- or four-turn whip finish and trim the thread.
Dab Loon UV Flow resin over the top of the body with a bodkin, avoiding the gill, and cure; the resin is what stops the tinsel and wire slipping once the fly has been eaten.
