- Hook 3XL streamer hook, 4-10
- Thread Black 6/0
Materials
- Cone Gold cone (one, sized to the hook gap)
- Tail Olive ostrich herl (marabou, one shank length)
- Flash Pearl and Olive flash (6-8 strands Krystal Flash, mixed into the tail)
- Body Olive ostrich herl (pearl-cored tinsel chenille)
- Hackle Olive grizzly hackle (one grizzly saddle, palmered)
How to tie it
- Slide a gold cone to the eye, mount the hook and start thread behind the cone.
- Run thread to the bend and tie in an olive marabou tail one shank length long.
- Add a generous pinch of pearl and olive flash into the tail for a flashy attractor look.
- Tie in a grizzly hackle by the tip and a length of olive tinsel chenille at the bend.
- Wrap the chenille forward to the cone and tie off.
- Palmer the hackle forward in 6 open turns, bind at the cone, snip the excess, then whip finish behind the cone and cement.
