How to tie it
Start rust-brown thread and lay it down the shank behind the bead.
Tie in Coq de Leon fibers for the tail, capturing them up toward the bead and back down the shank for a tapered, durable base.
Tie in small copper wire behind the bead and run the thread back down to the tail.
Whip finish the brown thread, then rib the body forward with the wire using the rotary function and helicopter off; whip finish and cut the brown thread.
Start red thread behind the bead and dub a small ball of shrimp-pink UV ice dub for a hot spot.
Spin the thread flat and split it, then insert long pink CDC tips (prepped in a split-thread/dubbing tool) and re-tension, spinning to lock the CDC into a soft-hackle collar.
Take a couple of wraps to sweep the CDC back, whip finish behind the bead and trim.
