- Hook Curved emerger hook, 20-24
- Thread Black or gray 10/0
Materials
- Trailing shuck Cream semperfli cashmere monkey (sparse Z-lon)
- Body Black or gray material (thread)
- Wing Light dun wing bud (sparse CDC tuft)
- Thorax Black ostrich herl (fine dubbing)
How to tie it
- Mount the tiny hook and start thread at the 70% mark.
- Bind a wisp of cream Z-lon at the bend as a short shuck.
- Wrap a slim thread abdomen forward to the 60% mark.
- Tie in a sparse CDC wing standing upright, kept short and light.
- Dub the tiniest black thorax around the wing base.
- Whip finish behind the eye and snip.
