  • Hook Curved emerger hook, 20-24
  • Thread Black or gray 10/0

Materials

  • Trailing shuck Cream semperfli cashmere monkey (sparse Z-lon)
  • Body Black or gray material (thread)
  • Wing Light dun wing bud (sparse CDC tuft)
  • Thorax Black ostrich herl (fine dubbing)

How to tie it

  1. Mount the tiny hook and start thread at the 70% mark.
  2. Bind a wisp of cream Z-lon at the bend as a short shuck.
  3. Wrap a slim thread abdomen forward to the 60% mark.
  4. Tie in a sparse CDC wing standing upright, kept short and light.
  5. Dub the tiniest black thorax around the wing base.
  6. Whip finish behind the eye and snip.
