Classic Recipe

• Hook Standard dry fly, 12-18
• Thread Brown 8/0

Materials

• Body Natural dun cdc feather (1 whole feather)
• Wing Fine elk hair (small stacked bunch)

How to tie it

1. Start thread at bend
2. Tie in CDC feather by the tip
3. Wrap CDC forward so loose fibers sweep back as legs
4. Stack elk hair, measure tips to bend, tie in
5. Trim butts leaving a short stub head
6. Whip finish under the butts
