  • Hook Wide-gap stillwater/booby hook, 10-12
  • Thread White 6/0

Materials

  • Eyes White uni stretch (Booby foam eyes in mesh)
  • Tail White uni stretch (Marabou)
  • Body Chartreuse arctic fox (Straggle Fritz / straggle string)
  • Flash Pearl flashabou (A few strands Krystal Flash)

How to tie it

  1. Mount the hook and, at the eye, bind a pair of foam booby eyes across the shank with tight figure-8 wraps.
  2. Run the thread back to the bend.
  3. Tie in a white marabou tail about one shank long, with a few strands of pearl flash over it.
  4. Tie in the straggle Fritz at the base of the tail.
  5. Wrap the straggle forward in touching turns up to just behind the booby eyes, stroking the fibers back on each wrap.
  6. Bind off the straggle behind the eyes, build a neat thread head, and whip finish.
