Materials

  • Tail Schlappen, Black
  • Body Tinsel, Silver
  • Belly Bucktail, Yellow
  • Throat Schlappen, Yellow
  • Wing 6 Rooster Cape Hackles, Yellow
  • Cheek Jungle cock
  • Head Black with orange band

How to tie it

  1. Start thread about one-third of the way down the shank from the eye and tie in a few strands of crystal flash.
  2. Tie in a length of pink marabou by the tip and wind it around the shank like a collar hackle; secure and clear any trapped fibers.
  3. Tie in orange marabou the same way and wind it just in front of the pink; secure.
  4. Tie in yellow marabou and wind it in front of the orange to finish the collar; secure.
  5. Stroke all the marabou fibers back, build a small head, whip finish and cement.
