- Hook steelhead/salmon wet, 4-8
- Thread yellow 6/0
Materials
- Tail Yellow mcflylon (hackle fibers (optional))
- Body Yellow mcflylon (chenille or oval tinsel)
- Collar Canary yellow (marabou plume, 2-3 turns)
- Flash Gold flashabou (few strands each side)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start thread, running to the bend.
- Tie in a short golden-yellow hackle-fiber tail (optional) and a strand of gold tinsel.
- Tie in yellow chenille and wrap a slim body to the 75% mark.
- Tie in a yellow marabou plume by the tip and wind it as a soft, mobile collar, 2-3 turns.
- Sweep the marabou back and add a few strands of gold flash on each side.
- Build a neat head, whip finish, and coat with cement.
