Abdomen Tan (or olive) material (Ultra Chenille / Vernille)
Rib Copper thorax stripe (fine wire)
Antennae Lemon wood duck (few fibers each side)
Legs/collar Speckled brown rubber legs (partridge or hen, 2 turns)
Thorax Peacock ice dub (2-3 herls)
How to tie it
Slide the brass bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start thread behind the bead.
Lay a length of tan Ultra Chenille along the top of the shank and bind it from the bead back to the bend; touch the tail tip with a lighter to taper it into a clean pupal end.
Tie in the copper wire at the bend and rib forward over the chenille in 5-6 open turns, then tie off behind the bead.
Tie in a small clump of wood duck fibers to sweep back along each side as antennae, about half a shank long.
Wind a soft speckled-brown collar, two turns, and sweep the fibers back for legs.
Build a short peacock herl collar behind the bead and whip finish.
