Underbody Silver metal tape (8-10 turns lead-free wire (optional))
Body Caddis green (sparse dubbing or Ice Dub)
Flashback Pearl flashabou (3-4 strands Flashabou)
Rib Copper thorax stripe (fine wire)
Collar Dark brown fur (pinch of hare's ear dubbing)
How to tie it
Mount the curved hook and start olive thread behind the eye, running a smooth base back to the bend.
For weight, wrap 8-10 turns of lead-free wire over the front half and lock it with thread; skip this if you want a hang-down dropper.
Bind a length of pearl Flashabou at the bend to lie over the back, and tie in the fine copper wire alongside it.
Dub a slim, slightly tapered caddis-green body forward to the 75% mark. Use half the dubbing you think, larvae are skinny.
Pull the Flashabou over the top as a flashback and pinch it down, then counter-wrap the copper rib forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns to segment and armor the flash; snip the excess.
Dub a short, scruffy dark hare's-ear collar to suggest the emerging legs and head.
Whip finish and pick out a few fibers at the throat.
