How to tie it
Lay a thread base and tie in a foam body strip at the bend; segment it forward with thread wraps to build a buoyant banded abdomen, dubbing a thin hot underbody in the gaps.
At the thorax, stack and tie in the first of three wings.
Add a poly-yarn indicator post and splay a pair of rubber legs.
Tie in the second and then third stacked wing forward of the first. Why: the triple-wing stack builds a huge high-floating profile trout key on during heavy salmonfly hatches.
Splay the remaining rubber legs to the sides at the thorax.
Fold foam forward for a squared head, whip finish behind the eye, and trim the head.
