Materials
Bead Gold bead (1, sized to hook)
Weight Lead-free wire (0.02 wire behind bead)
Tail Olive ostrich herl (1 marabou plume)
Flash Pearl flashabou (3 strands Krystal Flash)
Body Olive ostrich herl (Ultra Chenille)
Hackle Olive grizzly hackle (1 saddle, palmered)
How to tie it
Slide the gold bead to the eye, mount the hook, and wrap a short section of lead-free wire behind the bead, shoving it into the bead and adding a drop of superglue to stabilize it and start a taper.
Start thread and, at the bend, tie in an olive marabou tail one shank length long with three strands of pearl flash.
Tie in an olive grizzly saddle by the tip and a length of olive Ultra Chenille at the tail.
Wrap the chenille forward over the wire in touching turns to just behind the bead and tie off.
Palmer the hackle forward in 5-6 evenly spaced turns and secure behind the bead.
Build a small collar, whip finish behind the bead, and cement.
