- Hook Standard-to-2XL dry fly hook, 10-16
- Thread Tan or orange 8/0
Materials
- Body Tan/olive/orange material (dubbing or dyed rabbit)
- Hackle Brown hackle (1 dry hackle, palmered)

How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start thread, then tie in a brown hackle by the tip at the bend.
- Dub a tapered body forward to the 75% mark.
- Palmer the hackle forward over the body in 5-6 open turns and tie it off, then trim the top flat so the wing seats down.
- Stack a clump of bucktail and tie it in as a downwing over the body, tips reaching just past the bend.
- Trim the butts, build a neat head, whip finish, and cement.
