Slide the Tungsten Slotted Silver bead onto the jig hook; it is oversized for the hook (2.8mm on a #16).
Wrap 010 Lead Wire over basically the whole shank, break it off with a clean point at the rear, and slide the wraps forward up into the slot of the bead so it seats flat.
Start the olive thread right behind the lead with a few quick locking wraps.
Cut a thin strip of Chamois Cloth Tan with long-bladed scissors, cutting along the stretchy direction, and thin it down with your fingernails to reduce bulk. Tie it in just behind where the lead ends, then take the thread down a little into the bend (the wide gape allows it) and back up over the lead to cover it.
Wrap the chamois forward flat in touching wraps right up to the bead, capture it with a couple of wraps behind and a couple in front, and clip it close; add a wrap into the middle of the bump to lock it.
Tie in a Peacock Herl, half hitch, and wrap it forward about five turns, the first turn delicate because that is where it breaks; capture with a couple behind and in front and trim the excess.
