- Hook 3XL streamer hook, 6-10
- Thread Brown 6/0
Materials
- Bead Copper or gold slotted tungsten bead (1, optional, sized to hook)
- Tail Brown permanent marker (marabou plume)
- Flash Copper flashabou (2-4 Krystal Flash strands)
- Body Brown permanent marker (marabou wrapped, or seal dubbing)
- Collar Brown permanent marker (1 soft webby hackle)
How to tie it
- Slide the optional bead to the eye, mount the hook, and start thread.
- At the bend tie in a brown marabou tail one shank length long with a few strands of copper flash.
- Tie in a second marabou plume by the tip (or bind in seal dubbing) for the body.
- Wrap the marabou forward in touching turns, stroking fibers back each wrap, to build a flowing body up behind the bead.
- Wind a soft brown hackle as a collar and sweep the fibers rearward.
- Whip finish behind the bead and cement.
