- Hook Standard wet fly hook, 10-14

Materials
- Body Brown permanent marker (hare's ear or brown seal dubbing)
- Rib Gold middle (fine oval tinsel)
- Wing Brown permanent marker (mottled brown hen or partridge, tented)
- Hackle Brown hackle (1 soft hen hackle)
How to tie it
- Mount the hook and start thread, then tie in a length of fine gold rib at the bend.
- Dub a fat, slightly shaggy brown body forward to the 70% mark.
- Rib the gold tinsel forward in 4-5 open turns and tie off.
- Wind a soft brown hen hackle as a sparse collar and sweep the fibers back and down.
- Set a mottled brown hen or partridge wing low and tented over the body, reaching to the bend.
- Build a small head, whip finish, and cement.
