Wire Natural copper, fine (One length for the rib)
Flashabou, dyed over pearl Olive (#6969) flashabou dyed over pearl (Two strands, doubled to four)
How to tie it
Slide a 5/32 inch brown magic bead onto a #14 scud hook and push it up to the eye, then start olive thread behind the bead and wrap a smooth thread base back to the end of the shank.
Tie in a length of fine natural copper wire at the rear for the rib.
Take two strands of olive-over-pearl Flashabou, fold them around the tying thread so you end up with four strands, and bind them down the shank to the bend.
Wrap the thread forward, using it to build a slight taper toward the bead.
Wrap the four strands of Flashabou forward in touching turns over the taper right up to the bead and tie them off.
Wind the copper wire forward in five to seven evenly spaced turns to segment the body, tie it off behind the bead and break off the tag.
Whip finish tight behind the bead and trim the thread.
