How to tie it
Slide the glow bead to the eye and wrap 12 turns of lead at the front so the fly undulates; dress the shank with thread.
Pinch some olive Semi-Seal, tie it on top at the bend and fold it back over itself for the tail; take an extra locking turn behind the tail. It sets your tie-in point and strengthens the tail.
Tie in the fine wire at the rear.
Dub a very thin underbody of peacock Ice Dub along the shank to the bead.
Lay a sparse amount of olive Semi-Seal across the thread (laying fibers across the shank direction gives a longer hackle) and close the wire over it; spin into a dubbing brush, or use a dubbing loop on a standard vise.
Wrap the brush back-to-front like a hackle, preening the fibers rearward as you go, with a few extra turns at the front.
Tie the wire off well and whip finish; cement the head.
Pick the fibers out with a wire picker, then lay them back with a toothbrush.
