  • Hook curved scud/pupa hook, 10-16
  • Thread Black 8/0

Materials

  • Bead Silver bead (1)
  • Thread body Black thread (shank length)
  • Holographic rib Silver flashabou (1 length)
  • Thorax dubbing Black dubbing (pinch)
  • Antron gills White poly yarn (small tuft)

How to tie it

  1. Slide the bead to the eye, start thread and wrap to above the barb.
  2. Tie in the holographic rib, then build a slim thread body two-thirds up the shank.
  3. Rib the tinsel forward in open spirals and tie off.
  4. Coat the body with UV resin for a glossy segmented finish.
  5. Dub a small thorax behind the bead.
  6. Add a short white antron gill tuft behind the bead and whip finish.
