Materials

Rubber hackle, extra small Grizzly hackle (1 length (legs))
Mono eyes Black, extra small (1 pair)
Dubbing blend: golden brown and light olive Ice Dub with dark brown rabbit Golden brown ice dub (Thorax/head)
How to tie it
Lay a short thread base and wrap the 0.020 lead onto the shank, carrying it slightly around the bend; bind it down.
Stretch the amber V-Rib well so it's pliable, thin its tie-in end, and tie it in flat side up behind the lead, binding it down around the bend.
Wrap the V-Rib forward in touching turns for a plump segmented body, make sure the rounded face is out (reverse-wrap if it seats flat side out), and tie it off very securely at about the 70% point, since the rib and thread travel the same direction.
Color the top of the body with the dark brown marker.
Tie in the medium dun CDC feather by its tip, fold the fibers back and take a couple of turns; tie off so the CDC sweeps rearward over the body.
Fold a strip of brown Swiss straw in half, notch the end at an angle, and tie a short wing bud angling down each side of the thorax.
Tie the extra-small grizzly rubber hackle across the top so a fine leg trails along each side.
Figure-eight the extra-small mono eyes onto the head.
Touch-dub the thorax blend and wrap around and between the eyes, most fiber underneath, short on top, longer below as legs; keep the hook eye clean, whip finish.
Trim any overlong antenna-like fiber so the top fibers stay about thorax length.
