- Hook 1XL-3XL nymph hook, 10-12
- Thread Olive 8/0
Materials
- Marabou Olive marabou (tail)
- Dubbing or marabou Olive ice dub (body)
- Eyes Black mono/bead-chain (pair)
- Rib Fine gold wire (spiral)
How to tie it
- Start thread and tie in a wiggly olive marabou tail about a hook length long.
- Tie in fine gold ribbing wire at the tail.
- Dub or wrap a slim olive abdomen two-thirds up the shank.
- Tie in a pair of mono or bead-chain eyes near the head.
- Build a slightly fuller olive thorax around and behind the eyes.
- Counter-wrap the wire rib over the abdomen and secure, build a head and whip finish.
