  • Hook 1XL-3XL nymph hook, 10-12
  • Thread Olive 8/0

Materials

  • Marabou Olive marabou (tail)
  • Dubbing or marabou Olive ice dub (body)
  • Eyes Black mono/bead-chain (pair)
  • Rib Fine gold wire (spiral)

How to tie it

  1. Start thread and tie in a wiggly olive marabou tail about a hook length long.
  2. Tie in fine gold ribbing wire at the tail.
  3. Dub or wrap a slim olive abdomen two-thirds up the shank.
  4. Tie in a pair of mono or bead-chain eyes near the head.
  5. Build a slightly fuller olive thorax around and behind the eyes.
  6. Counter-wrap the wire rib over the abdomen and secure, build a head and whip finish.
