How to tie it
Slide the 3/32 inch brown magic tungsten bead to the eye and start the thread behind it, wrapping down around the bend.
Tie in a few strands of brown midge Crystal Flash for the tail, doubling them back over themselves for the fiber count you want; trim so the tail comes just around the corner of the bend.
Tie in the extra-small copper wire.
Dub the tan UV Ice Dub tightly onto the thread by hand and wrap a slim body forward to the thorax area.
Rib the body with open turns of copper wire, tighter segmentation at the rear; tie off.
Tie in a doubled length of brown midge Crystal Flash at the front, laid back over the body to the rear of the thorax. This becomes the wingcase and legs.
Dub a darker thorax of brown olive Ice Dub, rolled tight, behind the bead.
Pull the Crystal Flash forward over the thorax as the wingcase and tie down behind the bead, splitting the strands so half sweep back along each side as legs; whip finish.
Trim the legs to about half the body length and add a drop of head cement.
